Part-time Culinary Specialist

The Part-time Culinary Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food service for our residents at WestBridge - Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment. This position requires a proactive approach to food preparation, presentation, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare healthy entrees and snacks for approximately 8-12 residents, adhering to established nutrition and presentation standards.
- Menu Planning and Collaboration: Work with the full-time Chef, Nutritionist, and residential team members to develop a weekly menu that meets the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
- Quality Control and Safety: Approve food preparation by observing methods, tasting, and smelling prepared dishes, ensuring portion sizes and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment.
- Logistics and Scheduling: Coordinate schedule with the full-time Chef around holidays and scheduled/requested days off, and maintain accurate records of refrigerator temperatures and inventory.
- Culinary Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts, with experience working with high-quality food and preparation.
- Certifications and Training: Valid ServSafe Certification, active CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing confidentiality, local, state, and federal program administration regulations, and ability to work with residents with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Professional Conduct and Boundaries: Demonstrate a high standard of professional conduct, professional boundaries, and ethical behavior that enhances the quality of care and encourages positive interactions among staff, residents, and families.
- Driver's License and Insurance: Valid driver's license and liability insurance with limits of at least $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 bodily injury per accident, and $100,000 property damage.
- Criminal Background Screening: Satisfactory results from a criminal background screening.
- Motor Vehicle Records: Satisfactory results from a motor vehicle records check.
