Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join our California Environmental Planning and Permitting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and providing technical leadership for transportation infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers and scientists across various disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advice and direction to environmental consultants retained by California Agencies, performing quality and consistency reviews of documents evaluating potential impacts associated with infrastructure projects.
- Routine meetings with Agency staff and leadership may include periodic travel to Sacramento and project sites in the Central Valley, leading meetings or actively participating, and preparing presentation materials.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, supporting or leading negotiation of appropriate scope and fee parameters for consultants retained by the Agency.
- Direct project teams in CEQA/NEPA document production, ensuring the administrative record is accurate and consistently maintained, and remaining current on CEQA/NEPA guidance/regulations.
- Provide strategic support for communicating with stakeholders, including newsletters, meetings, and teleconference calls.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning or a closely related field, plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Master's degree in Environmental Planning or a closely related field, plus 15 years of experience delivering environmental clearances for major infrastructure projects and programs, with a thorough understanding of CEQA and NEPA.
- Experience in large multi-regional linear transportation projects, with a focus on rail and rail maintenance facilities/operations.
- Knowledge of Federal/State regulatory framework/permitting, including coordination with respective State/Federal Resource Agencies.
- Familiarity with the planning and implementation process for major transportation or rail projects.
