We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Care Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Residential Care Specialist will be responsible for providing direct care and support services to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct resident care and socialization, including assistance with activities of daily living, individual plan goal activities, and development of meaningful interpersonal relationships.

  • Participate in routine residence maintenance, including safeguarding residents' belongings and funds, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment.

  • Document electronic health records and participate in staff meetings and in-service training, staying up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Observe residents' rights and adhere to community residence policies, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all.

  • Work as a team member and maintain confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Cover coworkers' absences and perform other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medication certification and basic computer skills preferred.

  • Must be physically able to assist residents when necessary, with the ability to lift, bend, and move equipment as needed.

  • Previous experience in residential care or a related field is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
