Purpose for the Role

We are seeking a System Support Lead to implement and maintain our telecommunication and data systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate the implementation of IT procedures and policies, perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and backups, and provide end-user support for hardware and software issues. The System Support Lead will also be responsible for implementing policies regarding security, network usage, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and allocate SAN storage and HBA configuration.
  • Manage, upgrade, and troubleshoot ShoreTel VOIP network.
  • Manage all SSL certificates and internal and external DNS services.
  • Use SCCM to manage resources, software distribution, inventory, build software packages, and troubleshoot failed installs.
  • Author and maintain shell and Perl scripts to automate administration tasks for infrastructure management.
  • Resolve network issues using DHCP and DNS.
  • Standardize existing LAN to DISA STIG standards.
  • Add new DHCP scope and set forwarder on Cisco.
  • Work with vendors to migrate PACS systems to new SANs.
  • Administer mid-size Citrix XenApp 5.0 and XenApp 6.0 Farms.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to digital certificates, browsers, and other TCP/IP issues.
  • Be the single point of contact for the Linux team and face customers regularly.
  • Prioritize, align, and schedule OS and infrastructure changes, deployments, and upgrades as needed.
  • Configure and optimize multiple Cisco devices, including routers, switches, call-managers, and monitoring applications.
  • Monitor systems, applications, and file servers for stability and resource utilization; implement, tune, and troubleshoot systems and applications.
  • Support various Linux operating systems.
  • Built and published virtual applications using Citrix XenApps.
  • Maintain operational availability of network routers and switches.
  • Create operational plans for installing recommended PC platforms.
  • Mentor associate-level technicians and provide second-level support for network and PC support problem resolutions.
  • Start up, configure, and administer asset management databases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in workstation packaging, software deployment, image management, and configuration management.
  • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
  • Proven experience with GPO, Firewall, TCP, Linux, VPN, ServiceNow, Help desk, SCCM, LAN, Active Directory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with other operating systems is a plus.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is advantageous.
  • Experience managing workstations using Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune/System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in a co-managed environment.
  • Experience using Active Directory, Group policy, VMWare vCenter, VMWare Horizon, and Azure AD.
  • Experience using packaging and deployment technologies such as Flexera AdminStudio, Microsoft App-V Sequencer, PowerShell, Application Deployment Toolkit, Microsoft Endpoint Manager Experience using imaging technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, VMWare vCenter, VMWare Horizon, Windows Autopilot, and MDT.
  • Experience deploying Windows OS servicing and Office 365 updates using Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience and strong understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Manager reporting, including SQL.
  • Highly responsive and proven professionalism in communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to quickly identify and resolve issues and work with a context of formal and informal process.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong process-oriented individual with experience in ITIL concepts.
