Job Summary

The Sales Director Level III (Senior Sales Manager) is a key member of the hotel's sales team, responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in their market segments. This position plays a crucial role in prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • • Attend daily Business Review (HHBR) meetings to stay updated on hotel operations and discuss sales strategies
    • Develop a full working knowledge of the hotel's operations, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Reservations
    • Stay up-to-date with company sales policies and SOPs, ensuring adherence to those policies by the sales team
    • Meet or exceed set goals, operating the Sales Department within established sales expense budgets
    • Participate in required M.O.D. coverage and Saturday office hours as scheduled
    • Initiate and follow up on leads, maintaining an active sales solicitation program
    • Monitor production of top accounts, evaluating trends within the market and identifying areas for improvement
    • Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the Account Coverage Program
    • Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals assigned by the Director of Sales
    • Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections
    • Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, such as parties and sales blitzes
    • Assist in preparing required reports in a timely manner

Requirements:
  • • At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience, or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
    • Must have a valid driver's license in the applicable state
    • Skilled in Windows, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
    • Long hours sometimes required
    • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of employees and guests
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $85,000.
