System Administrator

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to support all aspects of the Hospital Information System. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft on-premise solutions and cloud applications, as well as advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Identity and Access Management processes
Monitor and administer various systems and networks
Perform routine system administrator functions, including maintenance/updates, system backups, and provisioning of access to applications & resources
Modify security, roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups
Support print, DHCP, and web services
Document and train staff on system best practices and processes
Provide support for various onsite and cloud-based applications
Manage mobile device access
Coordinate with third-party contractors, vendors, and partners
Cross-train team members on servers and applications
Create documentation and maintain inventory
Serve as the first escalation point for desktop support
Requirements
Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
Minimum five years of experience with Computer, Application, and/or Infrastructure Support
Minimum two years of Systems Administrator experience preferred
Healthcare experience desirable
PowerShell experience desirable
Work Environment
The System Administrator will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with various stakeholders, including Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a project team, prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure environment. Salary Range
$30.37-$45.55 per hour
