Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. As a PICU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill neonates through adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians, PICU CNS, Respiratory Therapists, Child Life, Social Work, Nutrition, and Discharge Case Managers.
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
- Function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carrying out established nursing procedures and performing related duties as required.
- Assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
- Two years recent inpatient Pediatric Critical Care nursing experience or two years of recent Adult Medical/Surgical/Neuro ICU nursing experience or two years of recent Pediatric ED nursing experience.
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
- Active American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Active American Heart Association PALS Certification (within 6 months if transferring from an Adult Critical Care area).
- The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
