Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) team at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Health. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children with complex congenital heart disease.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
Requirements:
- Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
- Active American Heart Association PALS Certification.
- A minimum of one year of recent RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU, NICU, or PCICU) or two years of recent RN experience in Adult Cardiac ICU.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year recent RN experience in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
- CCRN Certification.
