Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Development Engineer to join our team at Segula Technologies. As a key member of our Supply Network Resiliency group, you will be responsible for driving and managing the performance of our supply base from a quality, delivery, cost, and technical standpoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze supplier capacity and investment requests to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Volvo/Mack suppliers and supply chains to drive operational excellence
  • Assess supplier weaknesses and provide solutions to prevent crisis at our Volvo operations
  • Monitor high-risk supplier development issues and implement corrective actions to prevent disruptions
  • Drive supplier problem-solving techniques and develop production systems and processes to prevent impact to Volvo operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive supplier operational excellence and minimize costs
  • Represent Segula Technologies at suppliers and escalate issues as needed to prevent crisis at our Volvo operations
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering, business management, or supply chain management
  • Experience in supply chain (quality and development) and/or production
  • Preferably experience in the automotive or heavy commercial truck industry in supplier quality and capacity, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or crisis management
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision
  • Customer-focused mindset and dedication to meeting external and internal customer expectations
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong integrity and creativity
  • Flexibility and preparedness to travel with short notice
