Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures to complete tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure manufactured parts meet blue-print specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspect welds for penetration and porosity, and adjust setups as needed.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, fixtures, and machinery to produce high-quality parts.
  • Locate and assemble components into fixtures to produce quality parts.
  • Monitor and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds, and gas settings to produce high-quality welds.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, including weld guns and wire feeders, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate a variety of tools related to the welding process, including sanders, grinders, and buffers.
  • Communicate with supervisors and crew leaders regarding equipment issues, downtime, and part availability.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Technical degree in welding preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to pass a MIG weld test and perform basic mathematics and blueprint readings.
  • Experience with measuring tools, welding techniques, and manufacturing processes.
