Job Summary

Axcex Media LLC, a leading provider of integrated systems solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Installation Specialist to join our team in the Norfolk, Hampton Roads, and Tidewater, VA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians to install cable and equipment infrastructures, cable termination, and complete proper testing and labeling.
  • Review customer requirements and collaborate with team members to gather required information to execute projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to all applicable fire, life safety, and building codes, including manufacturer instructions, safety codes, and standards of local building code compliance requirements.
  • Conduct field reviews and surveys to verify accuracy of completed design.
  • Perform battery/load calculations for wiring and other components.
  • Interpret architect drawings/specifications, blueprints, and construction documents, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate stock and material for installation and project execution, including tool and asset inventory, tracking, and maintenance.
  • Manage company resources efficiently to maximize performance and ensure project success.
  • Meet client and customer needs and support efficient project management via excellent communication and problem-solving skills, serving as a liaison between the company and the customer.
  • Ensure crew follows all safety policies and protocols during on-site visits.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members and ensure all work performed by team members is inspected for accuracy.
  • Report daily and weekly progress to company Project Manager and customer-provided contact, as well as creating and submitting expense reports.
  • Manage and maintain company vehicle according to company policies.
  • Perform other assigned duties as requested by immediate supervisor and/or management.
Requirements
  • Three (3) plus years of relevant work and supervisory experience is required, Fire Alarm installation experience preferred.
  • Applicants must live in the Tidewater, VA area.
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation.
  • Travel outside of your Hub territory is mandatory, as required to meet client demand and deadlines.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license of at least 3 years with a Clean Driving Record (No suspensions, etc. within the last 3 years).
  • Ability to share a hotel room while traveling.
  • Comfortable with heights and stable on a ladder.
  • Ability to carry 75 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check and routine drug tests.
  • Ability to ensure our 100% Tobacco, Vape, and Drug-Free work environment.
