Food and Beverage Concessions Manager

We're seeking a seasoned manager to oversee the daily operations of our concession stands and bars at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining, caring for, and utilizing food, supplies, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
- Perform regular inspections of concessions stands, bars, and buffet to ensure sanitation, order, upkeep, and supply control, as well as safety procedures.
- Ensure all concessions staff adhere to established safety regulations when using equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food Services and Housekeeping to manage the budget for concessions stands and recommend efficiencies and more effective methods of operation.
- Order food, beverages, supplies, and equipment for concessions stands, bars, and buffet, maintaining adequate inventory levels to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- May assist in supervising food services for specialty theme events.
- Communicate with direct reports to plan services and activities.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Additional duties and projects may be assigned as needed.
Requirements- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; some college classes in business or equivalent field preferred.
- Minimum five years of high-volume food service experience (fast food business, restaurant, banquet, special events) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain a current Louisiana Responsible Alcohol Server certification.
- Must be able to obtain a Louisiana State Racing Commission license.
- Must be willing to submit a drug screening and background check.
