Job Summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Business Risk Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Desk Mandate documents and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in respect to the Volcker Rule.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Desk Mandate documents.

• Act as a SME in respect to the Volcker Rule and ensuring compliance with the relevant standards and procedures.

• Review of newly approved products to ensure they are appropriately scoped.

• Partner with key stakeholders to monitor changes in business activity and assess any Volcker implications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/University degree.

• Business risk experience.

• Senior Role: 8 to 12 years of business risk experience.

• Junior Role: 5 to 8 years of business risk experience.

• Knowledge of global markets trading products and services, e.g. Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities.

Desired Skills

• Master's degree.

• Knowledge of market risk and/or regulatory rules pertaining to risk.

• Proficiency in risk management data analysis and tools.

• Knowledge of internal company systems.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for a variety of project work, including assisting in the response to regulatory examinations and queries from regulators. You will also be working with business lines across the company to manage updates to their Volcker hierarchy, including desk splits, mergers and closures.
