North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Surgical Services to lead our Surgical Services department.
About the Role:The Senior Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for the overall management and operations of Surgical Services, ensuring effective and efficient patient care. This includes promoting and enforcing departmental compliance with general safety and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the OR Clinical Director, Chief CRNA, Nurse Manager, Office Manager, Surgical Services IS Coordinator, Nurse Practitioner, and Ortho-Trauma Clinical Coordinator.
- Provide direction in the development and management of personnel within responsible departments.
- Oversee Surgical Services budget development, implementation, and compliance.
- Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
- Prepare and present operational and financial reports/projects as required.
- Recommend pricing levels and packaging.
- Assist with managed care negotiations and development.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare and Surgical Services.
- Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
- Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Health Administration or a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role. They will also have knowledge of physicians' referral relationships with the medical community at-large, working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, goal setting, and personnel management, and working knowledge of computers and computer software.
