We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will perform complex tax preparation, research, and planning. You will work with minimal direction, mentor by example, and strive to develop other team members by providing guidance and work direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare challenging and complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations.
  • Organize and review tax information to ensure easy interpretation by reviewers or clients.
  • Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues, making recommendations to management as needed.
  • Seek guidance and feedback from senior employees to limit rework and produce quality deliverables.
  • Effectively prioritize work based on deadlines and commitments, meeting productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Exceed internal and client expectations by producing quality work, quick turnaround, and attentive services.
  • Assist in the development of other team members by teaching and sharing information and skills critical to their current and future work.
  • Work with tax managers and directors to build, develop, and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Deliver comprehensive, long-term tax strategies and consulting services.
  • Accurately scope new projects and construct fee estimates/budgets.
  • Participate in the proposal process for potential new clients, developing strategic tax planning.
  • Facilitate cross-communication between staff members serving the same client.
  • Promote firm services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Navigate various software programs and tools used by the firm.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Three years' tax experience at a CPA firm.
  • Current CPA license or eligibility to work towards obtaining a license.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge working with spreadsheets, including creating formulas, lookups, and analysis.
