As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans to meet business needs, taking into account lead times, inventory levels, and supplier capabilities.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, delivery terms, and quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking, while ensuring adequate supply to meet production demands.
- Procurement Process Management: Administer the procurement process, including RFQs, POs, and contract management, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce costs through competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and logistics, to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the procurement process.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in production control, material demand planning, or supply chain management environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace suite, and experience with ERP packages.
Mainspring Energy, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $125k-$140k, plus pre-IPO stock options and benefits. This is an on-site position in Menlo Park, CA, with opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and innovative company.
