Position Overview

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for delivering essential support to nursing staff and patients within the surgical unit, fulfilling the roles of both a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Health Unit Coordinator.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: Certification as a Nurse Aide from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
  • Required upon hire: Certification as a Nurse Aide from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Health Unit Coordinator.
