Job Summary

The Vendor Relationship Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering effective relationships between CareOregon and its contracted vendors. This position serves as a liaison between the organization and its vendors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet program needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful contract administration.
  • Research and develop program service requirements, including regulatory and funding requirements, to inform procurement and contracting processes.
  • Collaborate with contracting departments to develop and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with CareOregon policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide input for internal legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance review and tracking.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, internal teams, and external partners to ensure current and future integration needs are met.
  • Develop and implement periodic check-in schedules with vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and resolve issues as needed.
  • Monitor the life-cycle of contracts, including duration, compensation, reporting, and timely amendments or renewals.
  • Review vendor contract invoices for completeness and accuracy in coordination with the Accounts Payable team and other departments as needed.
  • Identify and grow opportunities for securing proposals from potential vendors to meet program needs and goals.
  • Perform routine cost/benefit financial analysis to assist with the vetting process.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reports to assess vendor performance and provide analyses to leadership to inform decision-making.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in vendor contract administration or 3 years' experience in the business area of vendor focus.
  • Project coordination or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a managed care/insurance sector preferred.
Working Conditions

This role is fully remote, and the employee must reside in one of the listed 9 states. The work environment is indoor/office-based, and the employee will have occasional required or optional travel outside of the workplace.
