Job Title: Controller

OXBO/H & S Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our accounting functions. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing and directing operational accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct the daily operation of core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, manufacturing cost accounting, account reconciliation, variance analysis, financial reporting, internal controls, and processes.
  • Manage, reconcile, analyze, and report on manufacturing costs and variances.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts, process journal entries, manage fixed assets, complete account reconciliations, and provide variance analysis.
  • Manage and reconcile inventory ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of transaction posting.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures. Prepare monthly financial statements, supplementary reporting, and ad-hoc analysis as requested.
  • Assist the Finance Director in planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of initiatives, policies, and procedures of all operational accounting functions.
  • Evaluate internal workflow processes to maximize efficiency, while prioritizing accuracy, data integrity, and ensuring work activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Own data integrity and accuracy of financial information in enterprise resource planning software.
  • Periodically analyze standard rates and manufacturing cost coverage.
  • Analyze the financial impact of changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods.
  • Mentor and coach accounting staff by providing necessary training, resources, and guidance to ensure workflow continuity and career growth.
  • Assist the Finance Director in budgeting/forecasting activities as needed.
  • Manage financial and tax audit engagements.

  • 5 years of accounting management experience required; preferred candidates will have experience in the manufacturing industry.
Work Environment:

Marshfield, WI preferred. Ability to commute to Marshfield, WI. Ability to relocate to Marshfield, WI 54449 before starting work.
