Job Title: Administrative Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to join our team at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As an Administrative Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of analytical work within the Human Resources Unit, including staffing needs, personnel movement, promotions, benefits, performance management, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers, maintaining good working relationships and addressing administrative duties with latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
  • Work on projects designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations and programs in the field office, preparing and presenting findings, orally and in writing, to higher-level management personnel.
Requirements:
  • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee.
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualifications and Evaluations:

Specialized Experience:
  • GS 7: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 5 grade level.
  • GS 9: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 7 grade level.
  • GS 11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 9 grade level.
Education:

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

  • GS 7: Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or one (1) full year of graduate-level education.
  • GS 9: Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.
  • GS 11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.
