Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of a work schedule for all nursing personnel to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Visit patients to ensure maximum care and communicate with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and direct nursing personnel to provide the best possible patient care and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff nursing and nurse management to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor the Quality Assurance Program of the facility to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Assign duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and supervise and evaluate work performance to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Supervise the accuracy and maintenance of all nursing records and medical treatments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as Infection Control Nurse for the facility to prevent and control the spread of infections.
  • Monitor decubiti weekly and review monthly decubiti reports to ensure timely and effective intervention.
  • Handle disciplinary problems involving nursing personnel in a fair and consistent manner.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
  • Two years of experience, with a preference for at least one year of experience in skilled nursing.
  • Willingness to be 'on call' per rotation basis for the facility.
  • Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and a commitment to providing high-quality care to older adults.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems and to supervise nursing staff effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and perform various jobs as needed.
