Job Title: Community Standards Coordinator

Join our team at Saint Xavier University as a Community Standards Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in shaping the campus community and supporting students in their academic and personal journeys.

About the Role:

The Community Standards Coordinator will be responsible for working with the student conduct process, providing support to students facing various challenges, and serving as a role model and advisor to a wide range of students. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral intervention and threat assessment, as well as experience in program development, education, and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate about and enforce community standards, following protocols for prompt and thorough follow-up on all reports, and maintaining accurate and professional record-keeping.
  • Maintain and support the student conduct process and procedures, providing leadership within the student conduct system, coordinating hearing panels, meeting with students and families, and participating in investigative processes.
  • Support student-care initiatives, serving as a lead member of the Care Team, and assisting the Dean of Students and other staff with outreach and response to reports of student concern.
  • Program Support: Provide support to the Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT) through student intake or with the investigative process, and assist with the training of staff members and student paraprofessionals to respond appropriately to emergency, crisis, and other difficult student situations.
  • Education outreach and student mentoring/advising: Provide education and support to students, faculty, and staff to help recognize and respond to students in distress or crisis, national/local trends in student health and success, and issues related to student academic or personal concerns.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in education, human resources, political science, social work, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years professional experience, preferably in a college/university setting, responding to student conduct or crises, providing direct service to students in distress, with evidence of successful partnerships with students, families, faculty, and staff.
  • Experience in program development, education, and outreach efforts, marketing, and/or training.

Additional Expectations:
  • This is a live-in position, with compensation including a furnished apartment, internet, laundry, and a pet-friendly policy.
  • Description of Hours: Mondays through Fridays, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with some nights, weekends, and special-event attendance required.
