At Alliance of the Southeast, we are seeking a skilled Community Organizer to join our team. As a Community Organizer, you will play a critical role in expanding our Coalition for a South Works CBA and working with residents to win Community Benefits Agreements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in community/union organizing or working on community issues, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will be able to build relationships with and engage a variety of community members, community groups, and potential allies.
Responsibilities will include performing outreach to organizations and networks, coordinating meetings with residents, stakeholders, and decision-makers, and strategizing with community residents and local organizations.
Requirements include a high school diploma, previous experience in community organizing, and strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Bilingualism in English and Spanish is desirable.
This is a full-time position with a salary commensurate with experience, health benefits, vacation and paid time off, and paid travel reimbursement.
