John Muir Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population of patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, promote patient safety, and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Monitor and report patient status: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and laboratory results, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement patient education: Provide patients and their families with education and support to promote health literacy, self-management, and adherence to treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: 6 months of nursing experience in a medical acute care setting.
- Certifications/Licensures: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and other certifications as required by the department or unit.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
