As a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical ICU at John Muir Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is committed to providing compassionate and individualized care to our patients, and we are seeking a skilled and dedicated nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to a diverse population of patients, including those with complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 6 months of experience in medical acute care.
- Current RN licensure in California.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test (required within 6 months of hire).
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- 6 Trauma CEUs annually.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification (required within 2 years of hire).
- CPI - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification program (required within 1 year of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ICU or medical/surgical nursing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
Compensation and Benefits:
John Muir Health offers a competitive hourly rate of $101.72. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
