As our Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial data and processing our accounts payable timely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Process employee expense reports monthly.
- Prepare weekly check runs and payments to subcontractors.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any vendor issues.
- Review and verify purchase orders for accuracy and assist with any issues.
- Process sales and use tax.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint, Procore, Sage, or similar system) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles is a plus.
