At Koorsen Fire & Security Inc., we are committed to excellence in the fire and security sector. We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Installation Technician to enhance our skilled workforce. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our clients through the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Compensation: $20-36/hour with a sign-on bonus of up to $2500, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install fire alarm systems and their components, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Follow technical drawings for system installations.
  • Educate clients on the operation of their fire alarm systems.
  • Maintain professional interactions with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Exhibit a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Comply with all company policies and values.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least one year of experience in fire alarm system installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications.
  • Familiarity with electronic testing equipment.
  • Successful completion of drug and background checks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Compliance with state licensing and vendor certification requirements.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Experience in fire life safety, low voltage, or security systems.
  • Certifications from fire alarm manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Proficient use of mobile devices and applications.
  • Capability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and push/pull over 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate man lifts.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively and perform physical tasks.
Hiring Process:

  3. Substance abuse testing will be required for employment offers.
