About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at ISC Constructors, LLC. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site-specific safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and reports.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on the job site.
- Participate in job safety analyses and toolbox meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Review and sign off on Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure accuracy.
- Report incidents and accidents to management and corporate safety immediately.
- Assist in conducting scheduled safety meetings and training sessions.
- Monitor safety progress on the job site and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct safety observations and provide feedback to employees and management.
- Stay up-to-date on ISC safety policies and procedures.
- Escort employees to occupational medicine appointments as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial safety with an E&I contractor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clear MVR preferred.
- Certified in Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED use.
- Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) or Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction hazards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain positive business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Motivated to recognize and resolve problems independently.
- Skilled at performing tasks accurately.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
