Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation's largest brick manufacturers, operating eight brick manufacturing facilities. Our products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada. We have a strong presence in the North American market, with a combined business that has over 900 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants, 26 masonry supply/retail locations, and 3 design studios.
Job Summary:The Architectural Sales Representative will serve as an ambassador for Brickworks and the Glen Gery Masonry Supply Center. This role requires maintaining good relationships with existing customers, as well as targeting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing sales revenue and profits by developing rapport and selling all our lines of masonry and ancillary products.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Establish Key Accounts: Develop long-lasting business relationships with designers, architects, builders, general contractors, and masons within the home builder community.
- Drive Sales Growth: Strategically place products to drive sales and consistently achieve sales account prospecting and development.
- Product Expertise: Educate and inform on all Glen Gery masonry and cladding product offerings, including new product launches, hands-on demonstrations, estimating support, and job site visits.
- Quote and Order Management: Write sales opportunities, quotes, and orders, and coordinate with purchasing, customer service, dispatch, yard staff, and other Glen Gery employees throughout the sales process.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with manufacturer reps and plants on products and orders, and work closely with the management team to meet sales goals, quotas, and deliverables.
- Travel and Training: Attend meetings, sales events, and training sessions, with occasional evening and overnight travel required.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Develop sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and provide regular feedback to the management team.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and contribute to the growth and success of Glen-Gery Corporation.
- Tactical Planning and Problem-Solving: Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
- Proven Sales Success: Proven success in sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Technical Skills: Good PC skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with CRM systems are required.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Sales and Negotiation: Strong prospecting, negotiating, and closing sales skills are essential.
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in sales and masonry product knowledge are preferred but not required.
