About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):

The Division of Family Resources (DFR) within FSSA is responsible for determining eligibility for essential benefits such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. The division guarantees the prompt and precise distribution of benefits while providing employment and training services to select recipients. With a focus on self-sufficiency and personal accountability, DFR aims to empower and support families.

Compensation Overview:

The starting salary for this position typically begins at $37, with variations based on educational qualifications and professional experience.

A Day in the Role:

  • Evaluate and analyze eligibility recommendations and information from contract personnel
  • Assess eligibility for benefits and waiver programs in accordance with regulations
  • Identify discrepancies and unreported data in data matches
  • Authorize referred claims and calculations
  • Conduct eligibility interviews for various benefit programs
  • Stay updated on changes in program rules and guidelines
