Probation Officer

The U.S. Probation Office is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Probation Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the fair and effective administration of justice in our community.

• Conduct investigations and prepare reports to assist the court in making informed decisions.
• Supervise individuals under probation, providing guidance and support to help them meet their obligations and achieve positive outcomes.

• Develop and implement effective case plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
• Provide education and training to individuals under probation, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
• Monitor and report on the progress of individuals under probation, making recommendations for adjustments to their supervision as needed.
• Testify in court as necessary, providing expert testimony and evidence-based recommendations.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field such as criminal justice, social work, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a related field, such as law enforcement, social work, or corrections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
