We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to contribute significantly to our financial oversight and strategic decision-making processes. This role encompasses the creation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to both GAAP and Proforma standards. The analyst will also provide monthly analytics for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), prepare lender reporting packages, and analyze financial data to identify trends, offering insights that support the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial drivers influencing the profit and loss statement.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders, presenting information clearly to aid decision-making.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including expense schedules that compare actual performance against the plan. Conduct variance analysis to uncover discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring effective communication of information across functional business lines and enhancing the quality of planning data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business decisions, offering financial insights for evaluating investments and growth strategies.
  • Refine forecasting methodologies across all business functions, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Develop detailed financial models to support project-based initiatives, including capital structure and process improvements.
  • Assist with external reporting requirements for lenders and investors.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Create executive-level presentations summarizing financial results.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to quality control and insight generation.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other Microsoft products.
  • Able to manage workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on results.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, lender reporting, and detailed financial analysis, ideally in progressively senior FP&A roles.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with Proforma reporting.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Adaptive software.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leaders across the organization.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA, CMA, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Experience in a growing technology or eLearning SaaS environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
