Job Title: Art Handler

Cadogan Tate is seeking an experienced Art Handler to join our team. As an Art Handler, you will be responsible for the safe transportation and installation of art pieces, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and deliver art pieces on a daily basis, both locally and interstate as needed
  • Handle and control all paperwork, including condition reports and inventory management
  • Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and prepared for each trip, verifying the daily trip manifest and reporting any modifications to the Dispatch Manager
  • Properly handle and pack art objects, fragile materials, and fine furniture for transportation and storage
  • Assist with installation projects and prepare condition checks and reports as needed
  • Train lower-grade art handlers when required and assist with loading and unloading Cadogan Tate trucks
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of experience in the art handling industry, with a focus on packing, handling, and installing art pieces
  • Three years of logistical, warehousing, and moving experience
  • Understanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve handling art and antiquities from collection to installation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, familiarity with OSHA regulations, and impeccable communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting, as well as safely lift 70 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight
