Job Overview

M. B. Kahn Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Contract Review

Assist with managing subcontractor prequalification and default protection program, review subcontractor certificates of insurance for compliance with requirements, and identify potential risks related to liabilities, insurance coverage, indemnities, and other legal obligations in commercial construction contracts.

Risk Mitigation and Management

Collaborate with project teams and insurance providers to ensure appropriate insurance coverage and contractual protections, integrate risk mitigation measures into overall project plans, and verify policy coverage and endorsements on all new business and corporate insurance renewals.

Market Knowledge and Guidelines

Maintain market knowledge and guidelines, develop risk mitigation plans to minimize or eliminate risks, recommend cost-effective solutions for managing risks, and evaluate external and internal risk factors, including market conditions, project scope changes, contractor performance, and unforeseen site conditions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management, insurance, or a related field (preferably within the construction, engineering or commercial lines)
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
