Our Acute Care medical teams are available seven days a week, holidays, and can be requested online or by phone.
The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team.
You will travel locally to diagnose patients in their own homes or at a facility, utilizing portable digital x-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs, holter monitors, echocardiograms, and dopplers.

What You'll Do- Perform diagnostic echocardiographic scans for physician diagnosis using portable echocardiography equipment and technical knowledge and skills.
- Travel to various service locations in the local community to perform echocardiography studies for patients.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing echo exams.
- Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies based on established protocols and procedures.
- Obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis by the interpreting cardiologist.
- Collect or verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patients' bedside or other designated exam settings.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
- Transmit images and associated documentation to cardiologists in a timely manner according to company protocols.
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
- Maintain equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to company procedures.
- Take good care of vehicles and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies prior to each shift.
- Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Orient new staff and train students, if requested.
- Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.
- Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with coworkers, patients, patient family, client staff, physicians, and others.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and organize daily assignments effectively.
You must demonstrate basic computer skills to perform data entry and be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also required.
Requirements- You must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state licensure to perform, including one or more of the following:
- Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies
- ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation OR CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation required
- Two years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred
- Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) desired
- You must have the ability to perform quality and compete echocardiogram studies and possess excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- You must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize daily assignments effectively.
- You must have a working knowledge of other departmental procedures and equipment.
- You must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- You must demonstrate basic computer skills to perform data entry.
- You must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
- You must be able to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
