Environmental Specialist Job Description

At Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Compliance: Implement and manage environmental compliance plans, ensuring adherence to Title V, SWPPP, SPCC, RCRA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Inspections and Audits: Participate in on-site inspections and audits to verify compliance with environmental regulations and corporate policies.
  • Recordkeeping and Reporting: Manage and maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities, including waste transportation and disposal.
  • Environmental Management System (EMS): Update and maintain the EMS to ensure effective environmental management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster productive relationships with plant personnel, regulatory agency personnel, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance areas, including air, solid waste/hazardous materials management, radiation detection systems, and water quality management in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Skills: General knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, with excellent writing and computer skills, including Microsoft software products.
