**Job Summary**

Under occasional supervision, performs responsible, skilled work to operate heavy equipment in the maintenance of City parks and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment operation and maintenance, with excellent communication and supervisory skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes, to perform maintenance and repair tasks in City parks and facilities.
  • Assist in supervising the work of subordinate equipment operators and maintenance workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform related work as required, including but not limited to, equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Report to the Supervisor or designee, providing regular updates on work progress and any issues that may arise.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment operation and maintenance, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

**Working Conditions:**
