We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Manager to join our team in Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, and Livingston Counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve volume and distribution objectives for the company and suppliers.
  • Manage and coach a team of sales representatives to meet performance goals through proper planning, organization, training, and execution.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings with representatives to communicate sales objectives, identify opportunities, and review performance against goals.
  • Develop and review performance enhancement plans for each sales representative, including training, evaluations, and coaching.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by identifying account opportunities, performing customer business reviews, and developing opening orders with new accounts.
  • Participate in the associate interview and selection process, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and managing the on-boarding process.
  • Manage supplier surveys, including planning routes, pre-surveying accounts, and conducting surveys with suppliers.
  • Coordinate supplier ride-withs by collaborating with Business Managers to schedule sales representatives.
  • Resolve customer issues related to returns and breakage by following administrative processes.
  • Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The Field Sales Manager will supervise a team of sales representatives.

Compensation and Benefits

Empire Merchants North offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 and annual bonus potential

  • The company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills, and experience when making an offer.
Requirements of the Position
  • A clean, valid New York State Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a valid NYS Solicitor's Permit.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An understanding of wine and spirits is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion, as well as strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs, including presentation software.
