Position Overview The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a designated sales territory, recruiting and nurturing Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), and executing a strategic sales plan utilizing high-velocity selling techniques. This role emphasizes the development and coaching of sales talent, crafting a demand generation strategy to meet sales targets, and driving operational excellence through key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the HCM Inside Sales micro team.
  • Ensure the achievement of corporate objectives and sales targets while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new sales talent, conducting performance evaluations and providing coaching to enhance the selling capabilities of ISRs.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for sales representatives in areas such as technical knowledge, competitive insights, and sales techniques.
  • Oversee daily operations and KPIs of the inside sales team, guiding staff to meet or exceed Paychex corporate goals.
  • Monitor performance against forecasts and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Identify and develop potential management candidates, ensuring a clear promotion pathway for team members.
  • Represent the company positively to clients and the community.
  • Ensure the accuracy of weekly activity reports and audit commission and expense submissions.
  • Promote a culture of proactivity, resilience, and accountability within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven sales experience as a high performer.
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience.
  • 1 year of experience in Inside Sales.
  • 1 year of experience in the HCM industry.

Compensation: In the spirit of transparency, the starting base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $135,000 annually, plus bonuses, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of $160,000 to $195,000. Please note that this figure does not encompass all components of the total rewards package for the role.

If you join Paychex, your overall compensation will be influenced by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
