We are currently seeking a Senior Game Integrations Engineer to enhance our integration processes and showcase the technologies that facilitate user-generated content in our games.

In this role, you will collaborate with a seasoned team that has extensive experience in game development and backend services.

You will engage with various developers to integrate and demonstrate our services to partners, ensuring we remain at the forefront of development methodologies and technologies. Many of our engineers are adept in multiple programming environments.

As a Senior Game Integrations Engineer reporting to the Integrations Technical Director, your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing integration client experiences through sample and ongoing multiplayer games that highlight our user-generated content capabilities.
  • Managing the architecture and design patterns within Unreal Engine to maintain a high-performance, stable, and scalable codebase.
  • Utilizing and enhancing existing cloud-hosted services for game integrations.
  • Expanding our game SDKs that connect to our services.
  • Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to our coding standards.
  • Contributing to and reviewing technical design documents and API specifications that outline software requirements.
  • Implementing security best practices to safeguard user data and prevent cheating.
  • Providing support and troubleshooting for incoming requests from studios and partners.
  • Maintaining a suite of automated tests to ensure the reliability of backend services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on coding experience.
  • Experience in shipping or prototyping multiple games using Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine architecture best practices.
  • Expertise in C++ and UE Blueprints.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, or Go.
  • Experience with terminal, bash, and command line interfaces.
  • Experience mentoring team members to enhance their skills while ensuring code quality.
  • Experience with real-time multiplayer architecture.
  • Ability to develop high-quality, testable software.
  • Desire to collaborate with server engineers and designers to integrate their capabilities into games.
  • Experience in an Agile or Scrum environment.
  • Willingness to iterate quickly and develop prototypes.
  • A commitment to teaching and learning from peers.

Pluses:
Experience with Unity, working on various aspects of game development (e.g., engine, systems, tooling, networking), shipping and maintaining a framework library used by partners, building scalable services, and deploying them to cloud platforms.
