Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage department, including the main restaurant, all-day dining, pool and beach services, banquets, special events, in-room dining, and external vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the main restaurant, all-day dining, pool and beach services, banquets, special events, and in-room dining.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
  • Vendor Management: Foster strong relationships with external vendors and negotiate contracts for events and services.
  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and train restaurant managers, chefs, and staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and execute marketing initiatives that promote the food and beverage offerings.
  • Financial Oversight: Provide financial oversight and management of the food and beverage department's budget.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Present monthly reports to ownership highlighting key performance indicators, financials, and operational metrics.
  • Strategic Alignment: Develop and maintain relationships with ownership to ensure alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior food and beverage leadership role in a luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel or resort.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and ability to develop creative marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with experience in developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with external vendors and negotiate contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell the story factually and creatively.
  • Familiarity with Miami's hospitality market is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple food and beverage outlets.
  • Knowledge of local suppliers and vendors.
  • Certification in food safety or hospitality management (e.g. HACCP, ServSafe).
