Centria Autism is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader.
Key Responsibilities- Adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support.
- Partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans.
- Use evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
- A passion for helping children with autism and making a real difference in their lives.
- Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the past year).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- A minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
- A starting hourly rate between $15-18 that increases based on experience, certification level, and highest level of education.
