Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Investigator to join our team at Stony Brook University. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a research program focused on the development, validation, and implementation of digital technologies for individuals with mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research studies to investigate the effectiveness of digital technologies in improving mental health outcomes
  • Develop and implement algorithms, wearable sensors, and apps for digital phenotyping, ecologically valid assessment, and interventions
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to advance real-world clinical practice and impact research
  • Utilize artificial intelligence methods to analyze and interpret high-dimensional big data
  • Develop and submit research proposals to secure funding for research initiatives
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Full-time availability
  • Research publications and funding on digital health technologies relevant to psychiatric populations
  • Expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence data analysis techniques
  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting high-dimensional big data
  • Demonstration of academic accomplishment, including prior and current research experience and productivity
  • Track record of NIH-funded research
