Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care based on individual needs, including physical, psychosocial, and educational requirements.
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and safe patient outcomes.
- Communicate patient status and care rendered to ensure seamless transitions and continuum of care.
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of Meridian Nursing Assistant Program or current Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- Equivalent bedside nursing experience, such as home health aides, military hospital corpsman, or Emergency Medical Technician.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
- At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting.
- Experienced or certified in phlebotomy and checking EKG, vital signs, and blood sugar.
