About the Role: STV is in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Expertise in Rail & Transit Systems for our offices in the Northeastern region. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in electromechanical systems for rail and rubber-tired public transport vehicles, with a focus on HVAC Systems. Experience in the design, validation testing, and integration of HVAC systems into vehicle architecture is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold a structured review process for fleet design initiatives.
  • Oversee systems testing, acceptance evaluations, and start-up assistance.
  • Manage the testing and commissioning of communication systems.
  • Collaborate with clients and STV engineering personnel.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 11 years of experience in the design and construction of transit systems.
  • Proficiency in Railroad HVAC Systems and electromechanical technologies.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience in leading extensive design projects and conducting field tests.
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with a public transit authority in systems and maintenance.
