Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned rail industry expert to fill the role of Asset Information Manager in Boston.

This position will involve leading the provision of asset management information advisory services within a multidisciplinary consultancy framework, contributing to the expansion of our influence along the East Coast and throughout North America.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a rail professional to become part of a rapidly expanding, global consultancy focused on rail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing asset information management policies for clients to enhance the effective management of their transit and railroad assets.
  • Defining configuration requirements for Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) to facilitate accurate asset management reporting and the management of maintenance activities.
  • Creating training materials for EAMS to help clients improve their proficiency and maturity in asset and work management.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to develop asset management strategies that align with the client's overarching business objectives.
  • Assisting clients with considerations and strategies for implementing new asset management information systems.
  • Formulating asset data collection strategies and information requirements to ensure clients maintain up-to-date EAMS.
  • Conducting asset performance data analysis to aid clients in enhancing asset reliability.
  • Performing data analysis to uncover opportunities for improving work management processes.
  • Effectively presenting data analysis and findings to clients to support informed decision-making.
  • Prioritizing and managing project delivery to surpass client expectations.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet agreed success criteria.
  • Creating dashboards and reports for asset management and maintenance work management for clients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in transit and railroad asset management principles.
  • Experience in the implementation and/or ongoing maintenance of Enterprise Asset Management Systems, ideally within a transit or railroad context.
  • Expertise in asset information and spatial data architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Familiarity with transit and railroad asset policies and asset management practices is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management processes within transit and railroad infrastructure is desirable.
  • Strong data analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
