About the Role: STV is on the lookout for a Senior Engineer specializing in Rail & Transit Mechanical Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of electromechanical systems used in rail and rubber-tired public transportation vehicles, with a strong focus on HVAC Systems. Experience in the design, validation testing, and integration of HVAC systems into vehicle architecture is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold a structured review process for fleet design initiatives.
  • Oversee systems testing, acceptance procedures, and initial operational support.
  • Manage communications systems testing and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and STV engineering personnel.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 11 years of experience in the design and construction of transit systems.
  • Proficient in Railroad HVAC Systems and electromechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience leading substantial design projects and conducting field tests.
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with a public transit authority in systems and maintenance.
