Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Alaska Village Electric Cooperative. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
About the JobThis is a full-time position requiring 10-hour days, 6 days a week. The successful candidate will have technical proficiency in construction, electrical systems, and maintenance, as well as experience in diesel generation systems or similar technical fields.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on diesel-powered equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with diesel generation systems
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Technical proficiency in construction, electrical systems, and maintenance
- Experience in diesel generation systems or similar technical fields
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and environments in remote locations
- Self-motivation and a responsible work ethic for field operations
The estimated salary for this position is $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience.
