Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at KCO Resource Management. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop the training program for the site maintenance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Act as a coach/mentor for the Maintenance Planners and Leads, providing guidance and support to ensure deep dives into break down elimination and support preventive maintenance planning.
  • Monitor the performance of PM compliance goals and provide coaching to areas on equipment reliability.
  • Support Maintenance Leads to prioritize work for execution, prioritizing work as it pertains to food safety and human safety.
  • Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Provide cross-functional support with the Engineering Department for capital projects executed at the site, including cost justification, design feedback, project implementation, and support at startups.
  • Understand, enforce, and comply with the site's Environmental Policy, targeting initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Ensure maintenance supports the production of high-quality food products, leveraging team members to propose and execute work that assures compliance to specifications and increases consumer satisfaction.
  • Monitor cash flow per budget (MRO and labor), proposing capital projects where appropriate, and manage stockroom costs to ensure critical spare parts and materials are available as needed.
  • Pursue new technologies to improve operations on the processing lines, packaging lines, and utility equipment.
  • Ensure the department is properly trained on how to execute work safely and drive improvements to eliminate any safety risks across the factory.
  • Manage proper conservation systems (alarms, security, sprinklers, fire brigade, etc.).
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience within a plant or manufacturing environment in the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience within PLC's and Ammonia Refrigeration.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, and AutoCAD).
  • Ability to work with clients, vendors, and other team members at all levels.
  • Individuals must have interpersonal and team skills to function as a team member and leader.
  • Management personnel share responsibility for the legality, employee safety, product safety, environmental, and quality systems at all times.
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible, and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical driver, and attentive to detail.
  • Capable of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure.
