The estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Freight Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new business and make cold and warm sales calls to potential clients
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations to customers and prospects
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Cross-sell brokerage products to existing and prospective customers
  • Work with counterparts on both the local and national FMS/Rental sales teams to drive sales growth
  • Keep accurate records of sales efforts in our CRM system

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales in the transportation industry, preferably in an outside sales environment
  • An ability to build strong customer relationships and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and sales skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling pitches
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred
